The International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) condemns the Bush administration for redesignating the CPP, NPA and Prof. Jose Maria Sison as terrorists. The CPP and NPA are revolutionary organizations fighting for the national and democratic interests of the Filipino people.
Prof. Jose Maria Sison, the General Consultant of the ILPS, is a staunch anti-imperialist and democrat. He has played a key role in the development of the struggle of the Filipino people against US imperialist domination in the Philippines and the successive puppet governments of the local ruling classes of big landlords and compradors. His writings that expose the cruel and destructive nature of imperialism have enlightened, inspired and motivated revolutionaries and progressives throughout the world. That is why Bush and the reactionaries hate him so much. That is why they want to demonize him by their terrorist tag.
But the people of the world know who the real terrorists are. The US imperialists are the No. 1 terrorists. In their pursuit of world domination for profit and plunder, they have carried out wars of aggression using the latest high tech weapons of mass destruction, murdering and maiming people in the hundreds of thousands, destroying schools, hospitals, factories, residential houses, bridges, water reservoirs and other civilian infrastructure, razing cities and creating havoc and social turmoil in the countries they devastate.
The people of the world are fighting back. The American troops are facing the determined resistance of the Iraqi and Afghan people who are the latest victims of US aggression and occupation. The American people themselves are strongly protesting against the policy of the Bush government for sending their children to do the dirty work for the imperialists, risking their lives for oil and markets.
The ILPS stands for the interests of the people of the world for justice, democracy and social emancipation from the exploitation and oppression of the imperialists and reactionaries. We support the struggle of the people of the world against imperialism, especially US imperialism, which is currently at the head of the global imperialist system and is the No. 1 enemy of the people of the world.
We call on all ILPS participating organizations and supporters, and all progressive and peace-loving people to press harder for the removal of ILPS General Consultant Prof. Jose Maria Sison and other revolutionary organizations and individuals from the fraudulent "terrorist" list and to defend the people's right to struggle for national and social liberation.
We call on the people of the world to unite and form the broadest united front against imperialism and all forms of reaction. We call on the people of the world to carry out a resolute struggle against these enemies of mankind and build a new world of peace, prosperity and progress.
